From Fenland to Dry Land
From Fenland to Dry Land aimed to preserve the history of Mepal and Witcham by involving local residents in archiving their village’s history. The first phase of the project engaged young people from both villages by active participation in digital filming workshops. The second phase of the project was aimed at younger children and involved them using photography to capture photographic perceptions of their village. This gave a valuable insight into how the next generation feel about where they live. The film Premiere in September was the focal point and brought together all residents from young to old to explore and discover their local heritage.
The project was funded by LeaderPlus.
