ADeC’s ‘BEAT THE RAP’ music project will be restarting at the Garage Youth Club in Chapel Street, Ely on Tuesday 21st September. 

The project, run by ADeC (Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire) and funded by Youth Music allows 11 to 19 year olds the chance to learn all about rap music, giving them an opportunity to write and record with professional musicians. 

The free workshop runs from 7 – 9pm with further sessions taking place at the Garage on the 5th and 19th October. 

Nathan Jones the project leader from ADeC said; “This is developing into a really exciting project. So far over 40 young people from around the region have learnt about rap music and this summer we made our first set of studio recordings which sound great. I hope more young people come to the Garage and give it a go. Even if you know nothing about Rap or don’t sing you’ll still learn lots and have great fun.”
