Ely Cinema will be Going Digial this Summer, a full seven months ahead of schedule. The fund has been boosted with grant of £15,400 awarded from the Fens Adventurers fund. With nearly £11,000 already in the funding pot and the generosity of local entrepreneur Peter Dawe who is loaning ADeC the remaining monies, the digital launch will now take place this July. ADeC’s Cinema is located within the Maltings on Ely’s picturesque riverside. We run a regular programme of family films, blockbusters, and arts picture house films. Tickets for all our regular films cost £6.50/£5.50 with a £1 discount for Ely Cinema Members, They are available online and in person from the ADeC Box Office at the Babylon Gallery, Waterside, Ely.
We are now screening a wide range of alternative content. Our next screening will be NT Live : This House on Thursday 16 May at 7pm. We have just confirmed a live screening of Pompeii from the British Museum - tickets are now on sale. Coming soon ...This House, The Audience starring Helen Mirren, Othello. In the Autumn we will have plays from the Globe Theatre - do sign up for our email listings for more information.
Burrows Bookshop have been supporting ADeC since 2005, helping sell our tickets for Ely Cinema and live events. They generously provide us with a free box office service despite being a busy bookshop. Burrows Bookshop, High Street Passage, Ely is the City’s oldest established bookshop, specialising in children’s books, local interest and book related products. Inspiring everyone to enjoy books and reading they also run Word Perfect Book Club and Word Perfect Parties.

From 1st December Annual Single Membership costs £20 (two free tickets). Annual Dual Membership for two people at one address £30 (four free tickets). If you like the convenience of buying online, all our tickets are sold through wegottickets.com - you will need to register your details on their site the first time you book and there is a 10% booking fee. This is a ticketless system - you will receive a unique reference number to bring with you on the night.

Ely Cinema has just launched its ‘Going Digital campaign to raise £42,000 to buy and install digital projection equipment. The community cinema based at the Maltings is run by local arts charity ADeC with the help of volunteers and part-time professional projection and duty manager staff.
