Creative Development Training
A free one day workshop for artists, craftspeople and others involved in creative industries.
Creative Professional Development is a one-day business development programme for individuals and small companies in their early to mid careers including artists and craftspeople to help year creative practices and business to flourish. It includes training and networking days, one-to-one advice, mentoring for selected practitioners and provides information, advice, marketing and networking opportunities
Choose one of three dates which will include presentations, workshops and networking opportunities with the option for individual advice and guidance sessions from professionals working across the arts in East Anglia.
The choice of three venues allows Creative Practitioners from accross Cambridgeshire to attend the closest workshop to them and so each workshop will cover the same on each day. During each day the following themes will be explored:
• Making a Living: arts market, self employment and business development
• Opportunities: research, residencies & awards, academic research, awards, prizes, residencies, studios
• Profile & promotion: marketing, artist led activity
• Professional practice: fees, guides and toolkits
The training will be held at 10:30 am to 4.30pm in three locations across Cambridgeshire on the following dates:
Thursday 8 May 2008 Chatteris, South Fens Business Park
Monday 12 May 2008 Babylon Gallery, Ely (NOW FULLY BOOKED)
Saturday 17 May 2008 March Town Hall (only a few places remaining)
